Job Title: Lead/Associate Engineer - Intelligent Systems & Automation (IS&A)
Department/Unit: Mechanical and Industrial Engineering / Intelligent Systems & Automation
Location: Pune, India
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Leadership
▪Lead and supervise the preparation of ICA design packages associated with Wet Infrastructure, Transmission Pipelines, Distribution Networks, Water Utilities, Treatment Plants, District Cooling and Heating Plants, Roads and Tunnels from concept to IFC stage.
▪Review and validate control philosophies, sequence of operations, and integration strategies.
▪Ensure compliance of technical deliverables with international codes and client standards.
▪Provide technical oversight on system architecture, advanced calculations, and design simulations.
▪Sign-off design outputs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
Project & Team Coordination
▪Act as the ICA discipline lead within multidisciplinary project teams.
▪Represent IS&A team in client meetings, vendor evaluations, and technical workshops.
▪Support project managers in defining scope, schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
▪Provide input to procurement and vendor prequalification processes.
▪Address design queries, RFIs, and site-related clarifications.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
▪Implement QA/QC checks across project deliverables.
▪Identify and mitigate technical risks in design and execution.
▪Participate in value engineering workshops, recommending cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
▪Ensure alignment with codes and standards (ISA, IEC, API).
Mentorship & Development
▪Mentor and guide subordinate engineers, reviewing their work and providing technical feedback.
▪Deliver internal training sessions on tools, codes, and advanced practices.
▪Contribute to department knowledge-sharing and lessons-learned documentation.
▪Promote ethical practices, innovation, and collaboration.
▪Support technical proposals and bids with discipline-specific inputs.
▪Contribute to project case studies and narratives.
Minimum Qualifications
▪Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering.
▪10-12 Years of proven experience in Water Infrastructure and Wet Utilities ICA project delivery.
▪Proficiency in BIM tools (Autodesk Civil 3D, SmartPlant 3D).
▪Strong knowledge of DCS, PCS, SIS, ESD, SCADA, PLCs, and other automation platforms.
▪Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and client engagement.
▪Advanced understanding of integration protocols (Profibus, Modbus, OPC).
