Job Overview
Job Description - Lead Engineer
Roles: Technical Specialist/Senior Developer/Integrator on Tuner and SDARS feature area
Education
- Engineering - BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MS
- Discipline – Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Computer, Electrical & Electronics
Experience: 8-12 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Should be able to design and develop SXM HAL component for SDARS Tuner on Android platform which is used to communicate with remote ECU over Ethernet.
- Should be able to work closely on Ethernet protocol and Platform adaptation with other components (including AOSP components)
- Ensure the component and interface design corresponds to overall architecture and align with standard or custom AIDL interfaces compliant to various Stellantis vehicles requirement
- Support Project team in cross functional activities and collaborate across Remote Telematics team for Remote connectivity (Telephony, GNSS, WiFi, IMU Sensor, Internet connectivity)
- Liaise with Partner, supplier and other team in Stellantis (System and Product) for Software development cycle
- Ensure having full capability on configuration management, DevOps technique and testing mechanism for delivering quality code
Basic Qualifications
- Strong object-oriented programming (OOPS) skills with C/C++/Java/Python
- Advantage with knowledge on programming languages such as React Native, Kotlin, C#
- Solid technical depth in Tuner features (AM/FM/DAB/SDARS/HD Radio etc) and stack associated with Tuner HW
- Software design and implementation experience in an object-oriented environment
- Knowledge on Automotive SOCs and Microcontrollers
- Experience with operating systems like Linux, Android, QNX and aware about Hypervisor
- Experience with communication network protocols like https, RTP, Websocket and interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SPI
- Experience with SCM tools such as: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, RTC
- Experience with debugging using relevant tools such as GDB, JTAG-Debugger, BDI, Lauterbach, ADB, logs
- Knowledge on Functional Safety and SPICE processes
- Knowledge on software quality standards and Test-Driven Development
- Proven ability working in Agile Scrum environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to work in a dynamic, fast paced, multitasking environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked in Infotainment area of Automotive System (preferably domain controller platform)
- Should have experience in working on Automotive Android OS (AOSP) specifically in HAL and Middleware layers
- Should have maximum experience working in Tuner domain (AM, FM, DAB/DAB+/HD Radio/SeriusXM)
- Additional advantage for working experience Remote connectivity with various networking protocols and fully aware about various networking topology (TCP/IP, UDP, RTP/RTCP, Websocket, SOMEIP)
- Integration experience of 3rd party Engine or application on Android will be plus
- Implementation experience in command & control interfaces, audio streaming path, integrating with audio subsystem on Linux OS.
- Experience in working with suppliers and algorithm vendors (Technical and Product Management skills).
