Role Description The Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. This role leads the design, specification, and integration of electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial and regulated facility projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The engineer oversees load calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, cable routing, and instrumentation layouts, and coordinates with process, mechanical, civil, and automation teams to deliver cohesive solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and approving engineering documents, resolving site-level technical issues, guiding field installation and commissioning activities, and supporting troubleshooting of electrical and control systems. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, engaging with clients and vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Electrical Engineering and Electricity knowledge for design, analysis, and compliance with industrial and regulatory standards.
- Candidates should possess Instrumentation and Process Control skills for specifying sensors, control devices, and integrating systems with automation platforms.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in electrical distribution, instrumentation networks, and control loops.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or similar regulated facilities, including design and site execution.
- Familiarity with CGMP, safety regulations, and applicable electrical and instrumentation codes and standards.
- Ability to lead teams, review technical deliverables, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
