Lead ECM Architect - Documentum, Azure, Alfresco
Duration: 12 months and extendable
Location: Remote
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Lead Architect to join a large-scale insurance project. This is a fully remote role based in India, offered on a freelance/B2B contract basis, with a full-time commitment (40+ hours per week).
Important Engagement Requirement
Candidates must not hold any other full-time or part-time employment, contract, or freelance engagements during this assignment.
We are specifically looking for professionals who can commit exclusively to this project. Applications from individuals seeking to balance this role alongside another permanent job or multiple contracts will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-scale ECM architecture for an insurance domain project
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20-40
- Define best practices, standards, and governance for content management solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Oversee system integration, performance, scalability, and security
- Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) architecture
- Hands-on expertise with Documentum
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architectures
- Proven track record of leading large teams (20+ members)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in large enterprise or insurance projects is highly desirable
Nice to Have
- Experience with Alfresco
- Exposure to modern content services, APIs, and microservices architecture
