Job Description:
As a Tech Lead, Professional Services – DevOps, you will play a pivotal role in leading technical engagements and small technical teams, supporting our enterprise customers by leveraging your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Private Cloud environments, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Prometheus, ELK, and more. You will work closely with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions to ensure their success, while also guiding and mentoring a team of DevOps engineers. Your ability to lead, architect solutions, learn new technical domains quickly, and train others will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level technical leadership and support for cloud migration and DevOps solutions to enterprise customers.
- Lead small technical teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps solutions.
- Architect and oversee the management and optimization of GCP resources, including GKE, Compute Engine, SQL/No-SQL databases, and Cloud Storage, etc.
- Guide the deployment, monitoring, and management of Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers.
- Drive the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Oversee system performance monitoring and ensure high availability using Prometheus.
- Direct the setup and maintenance of log management and analysis using the ELK stack.
- Lead support and optimization efforts for private cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
- Deliver exceptional client-facing technical leadership, demonstrating a passion for customer success and fostering strong client relationships.
- Mentor, coach, and train team members on new technical domains, best practices, and professional development.
- Continuously improve processes, systems, and team capabilities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of total experience in cloud technical support and DevOps, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity.
- Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform including GKE, Compute Engine, SQL/No-SQL databases, and Cloud Storage.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and the ELK stack.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing private cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technical domains and train others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer obsession and a passion for delighting customers, with a proven track record in client-facing roles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor small technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Professional Services or consulting environment.
- Certifications in Google Cloud Platform or related technologies (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
