As our projects grow in scale and complexity, we are looking for a Design Principal who can lead craft with authority and build visual systems that scale.
The Role
We are hiring a Design Lead who will own creative standards, visual consistency, and execution quality across the studio.
This is not a senior designer role.
This is a design leadership role.
You will:
- Set aesthetic standards
- Review and elevate work
- Build scalable visual systems
- Mentor and grow the design team
- Partner with strategy and delivery
You will work closely with the Creative Director, but you are expected to operate independently.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
1️⃣ Creative Quality & Authority
- Lead final visual quality control
- Building scalable brand design systems
- Elevate and refine design routes
- Maintain consistency across identity systems
- Protect visual integrity across all deliverables
You should be comfortable saying: “This is not at our standard.”
2️⃣ Systems & Scalability
- Build reusable templates and design libraries
- Improve file hygiene and naming discipline
- Standardise presentation quality
- Ensure brand systems are documented clearly
At this stage, craft must scale.
3️⃣ Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor mid-level and junior designers
- Conduct structured design reviews
- Identify skill gaps and training needs
- Raise the overall craft bar
4️⃣ Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work closely with Strategy Lead to ensure visual logic aligns with positioning
- Coordinate with Account Lead on capacity and deadlines
- Support digital and motion integration
5️⃣ Capacity Awareness
- Help estimate design bandwidth
- Flag overload risks
- Maintain balance between innovation and commercial execution

- Founders are not required for daily QC
- Visual consistency improves across projects
- Fewer avoidable design errors
- Junior designers show measurable growth
- Design systems become reusable assets
- Creative work becomes sharper and more defensible
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 to 5 years branding experience
- Strong portfolio in identity systems
- Experience handling complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- High craft sensitivity
- Systems thinking mindset
- Leadership maturity
Experience in branding agencies strongly preferred.
