Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end primary & secondary engineering activities
- Prepare/review layouts, schematics, DBR, BOQ, and technical documents
- Perform equipment sizing (transformers, switchgear, CT/PT, batteries, etc.)
- Define protection, control, and automation philosophies
- Review design calculations, vendor drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with Civil, Primary, Secondary, and site teams
- Support tendering, bid engineering, and vendor evaluation
- Ensure compliance with standards, safety, and client requirements
Technical Skills
- Substation design (AIS/GIS), busbar schemes, earthing, insulation
- Protection schemes, relay coordination, SCADA, AC/DC schematics
- Strong understanding of system studies and interdisciplinary interfaces
- Familiar with IEC / IS / IEEE standards
Software
- MS Office, AutoCAD
- ETAP / PSCAD / CYMEGRID (preferred)
