Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior MySQL DBA with strong expertise in managing and optimizing large-scale MySQL database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, replication, high availability, and production support. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services, will be an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain MySQL databases across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and version management with minimal downtime.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, storage, and replication status.
• Troubleshoot issues related to slow queries, deadlocks, locks, connectivity, replication lag, and resource bottlenecks.
• Implement and manage backup, restore, and recovery strategies to meet business continuity requirements.
• Configure and support replication, clustering, failover, and HA solutions.
• Analyze slow query logs and optimize SQL queries, indexes, schemas, and configurations.
• Manage database security including user accounts, privileges, auditing, and hardening.
• Automate routine DBA tasks such as health checks, backups, monitoring alerts, and maintenance jobs.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, and application teams for release support and production stability.
• Support capacity planning, scalability initiatives, and performance improvements.
• Maintain documentation for SOPs, architecture, backups, recovery, and operational processes.
Experience
• 6+ years of experience in Database Administration with strong hands-on expertise as a MySQL DBA.
