Senior Project Manager - Databricks Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in managing data-driven projects and a strong expertise in Databricks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, delivering projects on time and within budget, and leveraging Databricks to drive data analytics and insights. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate with stakeholders and manage project risks while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for data analytics initiatives utilizing Databricks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in project management methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in Databricks, including data engineering and analytics capabilities.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, Agile, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data analytics and Databricks.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
