Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

About the Role:
Lead Data Engineer to build and scale our core data platform supporting analytics and AI/ML. You'll own the end-to-end data lifecycle and lead a team to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Build scalable batch & real-time data pipelines
· Design Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, Iceberg)
· Develop ETL/ELT workflows (Airflow, dbt, Prefect)
· Implement data quality, governance, and monitoring
· Design data models for analytics and ML
· Optimize performance, scalability, and cost
· Mentor team and drive engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
· 7-10 years in data engineering; 3+ years in a lead role
· Strong SQL, Python, and Spark (PySpark/Scala)
· Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
· Knowledge of data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault)
· Hands-on with streaming systems (Kafka, Flink, etc.)
· Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with feature stores (Feast, Tecton)
· Knowledge of data mesh / CDC tools (Fivetran, Air byte)
· Exposure to graph/vector databases
· Open-source contributions or advanced degree
