About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist.
In This Role, You Will
- Complete pre-close and post-close documents for the most complex commercial real estate loans
- Coordinate loan closings, perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
- Research complex business and operational decisions
- Review and prepare loan related documents
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance and training to peers and may have limited supervisory responsibilities
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years of Loan Closing experience, including exposure to Syndications and LIQ, or an equivalent combination of experience gained through relevant work experience, formal training.
Job Expectations
- Complete pre-close and post-close documentation for the most complex commercial real estate loans.
- Coordinate end-to-end loan closings, including customer, loan, and regulatory due diligence, as well as ongoing portfolio maintenance.
- Evaluate, validate, and upload data into the appropriate systems of record with high accuracy.
- Research and analyze complex business and operational issues to support decision-making.
- Review, prepare, and ensure accuracy of all loan-related documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to peers; may handle limited supervisory responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve team goals.
- Interact professionally with internal and external customers to support seamless loan operations.
- Receive direction from leaders while exercising independent judgment and continuously building subject‑matter knowledge of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
