We are looking for an experienced Lead Cloud & Big Data Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Data technologies, Python, and Spark. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable cloud-based data architectures, leading big data initiatives, and driving enterprise-level data transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Big Data and cloud-native architectures on GCP
- Lead end-to-end data engineering and big data solution development
- Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Python and Spark
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions
- Develop cloud data strategies, governance, and architecture best practices
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of data platforms
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution planning
- Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance on cloud and big data technologies
- Ensure data security, compliance, and operational excellence across cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployment, integration, and support activities
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in Big Data technologies and distributed data processing
- Strong development experience in Python and Spark/PySpark
- Experience with cloud data architecture and scalable data processing frameworks
- Good understanding of ETL, data pipelines, and data transformation processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Experience in handling enterprise-scale cloud and big data projects
Preferred Skills
- Experience with BigQuery, Dataproc, Airflow, Kafka, or Hadoop ecosystem
- Exposure to cloud migration and modernization projects
- Understanding of data governance and cloud security practices
