Role Description
The
Lead Business Analyst – IFEC Monetization & Long‑Term Strategy will support the development of long‑range growth strategies and monetization frameworks across Delta’s In‑Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) platforms. This role partners closely with IFEC leadership to translate complex market dynamics, financial considerations, and strategic opportunities into clear insights and executive‑ready recommendations.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical self‑starter with a consulting or investment banking background in media or digital platforms, strong financial modeling capabilities, and exceptional presentation skills. This individual will function as a trusted strategic extension of IFEC leadership, supporting day‑to‑day strategy development while also contributing to multi‑year planning and high‑visibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a core role in shaping and building IFEC monetization capabilities, supporting the development of scalable media‑, commerce‑, and data‑driven revenue models across onboard digital platforms.
- Develop detailed financial models, investment cases, and scenario analyses to support monetization strategy, product design decisions, and long‑term roadmap planning.
- Support the definition of platform strategy, including inventory design and governance, pricing and yield frameworks, demand drivers, and performance measurement approaches.
- Conduct deep market, partner, and competitive analyses across media, technology platforms, and adjacent industries to inform strategy and positioning.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, executive‑ready materials for IFEC, CXD, and enterprise leadership, supporting decision‑making at the most senior levels.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams across IFEC, Digital, Technology, Commercial, Finance, and external partners to align assumptions and enable execution.
- Track performance against strategic and financial objectives, surfacing insights, risks, and opportunities to refine the monetization approach over time.
- Support ad‑hoc strategic initiatives, leadership requests, and special projects related to IFEC growth and monetization.
Minimum Qualifications
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field from a leading institution.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in investment banking or strategy consulting, with a focus on media, advertising, commerce, or digital platform businesses.
- Hands‑on experience evaluating or supporting media‑adjacent business models such as advertising, sponsorship, commerce, subscription, or data‑driven monetization.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities, including development of business cases and longer‑term financial views.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis into clear, well‑structured, executive‑ready presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver high‑quality outputs under tight timelines.
