Job details:
Company Description Kaffa Studio is a specialty coffee brand designed for people who want to engage deeply with brewing, not just drinking coffee. The company is launching India’s first Coffee Omakase Bar, a curated experience where guests enjoy coffee courses crafted like a chef’s tasting menu around a circular counter. This immersive space is complemented by a retail section that allows guests to take home products that extend the café experience. Founded by an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, Kaffa Studio is well-funded and supported by strong investors, offering a stable yet innovative environment. Team members join a brand focused on craftsmanship, hospitality, and storytelling through coffee.
Role Description The Lead Barista / Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role involves leading brewing and beverage preparation at the Coffee Omakase Bar, including precise manual brewing methods, and consistent execution of coffee courses. The Lead Barista / Senior Barista will guide guests through the omakase experience, explain flavor profiles, and maintain a welcoming, professional atmosphere at the bar.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising bar operations, training and mentoring junior baristas, managing inventory for coffee and related supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards. This role also collaborates with the founding and operations team to refine service workflows, contribute to menu development, and maintain high standards of quality and hospitality.
