Job Title - Lead Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Developer Platform Insights team. This role focuses on building scalable, analytics-ready data products that provide visibility into cloud cost management, incident metrics, developer productivity, and platform usage.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle — from extracting and transforming raw data to delivering structured datasets and business-ready insights through BI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and scripting languages (Python preferred).
- Develop and manage cloud-based data solutions (GCP preferred; AWS, Azure, or Snowflake acceptable).
- Extract, transform, and standardize data from cloud providers, infrastructure systems, and third-party platforms.
- Build data models to support reporting and self-service analytics.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL-based ETL/ELT development.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or equivalent scripting language.
- Experience with GCP (preferred), AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and system design principles.
