As a Lead Associate- Buying, you will play a crucial role in managing buying activities and leading a team to achieve purchasing objectives efficiently. This position requires 4 to 9 years of relevant experience and involves overseeing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and optimizing purchasing strategies to impact business success.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities and vendor relationships.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the buying team.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to drive cost savings.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in purchasing practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align buying strategies with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, NIFT preferred.
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Experience in vendor management and sourcing processes.
- Knowledge of purchasing software and tools.
- Proven leadership abilities and a track record of driving results.
