Job descriptionRole OverviewAs a Lead Cloud & Backend Architect, you will serve as the technical North Star for ourproduct engineering organization. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role designedfor an engineer who thrives at the intersection of complex software design and modern cloudinfrastructure. Ability to use & build AI tools & agents a big plus.You will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling enterprise grade AI featuresthat power our products. With a deep mastery of .NET/C#, high proficiency in Python, andexpert-level SQL skills, you will lead the transition from traditional backend systems toresilient, AI-ready, cloud-native ecosystems. You are expected to be an "EngineersEngineer"—capable of mentoring senior talent while still being the first person to jump into aproduction-critical debugging session.Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Architectural Strategy & Design• System Blueprinting: Design and document end-to-end distributed systems(Microservices, Event-Driven, or Serverless) that are scalable, maintainable, andsecure.• Cloud-Native Evolution: Architect global-scale infrastructures using GCP, AWS orAzure, ensuring high availability (Multi-AZ/Multi-Region) and disaster recovery.• FinOps & Cost Governance: Take ownership of cloud utilization, implementingauto-scaling and resource optimization to ensure technical excellence aligns withbusiness profitability.2. Hands-on Engineering (The "Lead by Example" Mandate)• Core Development (40% of time): Write "gold-standard" code in .NET Core/8+ forhigh-performance services and Python for data-intensive or AI-integrated modules.• Database Engineering: Design complex relational schemas, optimize high-throughput SQL queries, and implement advanced caching/indexing strategies(PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis).• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Personally author and review Terraform, Pulumi, orBicep scripts to automate environment provisioning.3. Technical Leadership & Mentorship• Technical Unblocking: Act as the final escalation point for complex technicalhurdles, providing deep-dive support to senior and mid-level engineers.• Standards Advocacy: Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD best practices,and "Definition of Done" across multiple product squads.

Mastery of .NET C# (Core/8+) and Python (FastAPI, Django, orAsyncio).

Data & Storage Deep SQL internals (PostgreSQL/SQL Server), NoSQL
(DynamoDB/CosmosDB), and Redis.
DevOps &Containers
Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, AzureDevOps).
Infrastructure Terraform, Service Mesh (Istio), and Cloud Networking (VPC,
Peering, API Gateways).
Reliability Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and SRE
principles.
Experience & Qualifications• 10–15 Years in professional software engineering, with at least 4+ years in anArchitect or Technical Lead capacity.• Proven Product Track Record: Experience shipping successful B2B or B2C SaaSproducts from inception to scale (millions of users/requests).• Legacy Modernization: Demonstrated success in migrating monolithic .NETapplications to containerized, cloud-native microservices.• The Polyglot Mindset: Ability to switch context between the performance-orientedworld of C# and the rapid-prototyping/data world of Python effortlessly.• Security Mindset: Practical experience implementing OWASP top 10 safeguards andZero Trust architecture.The Ideal Candidate Profile• The Pragmatic Visionary: You know when to use a cutting-edge tool and when aboring, stable technology is the better choice for the business.• The Humble Expert: You can explain complex architectural trade-offs to a CTO anda Junior Dev with equal clarity and zero ego.• The Problem Hunter: You don't just fix bugs; you find the architectural flaw thatallowed the bug to exist and fix that instead.
