Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design for stores and develop design concepts, layouts, schematic designs, detailed drawing and construction documentation.
- Ensure effective planning of customer areas, back-of-house spaces, service areas, kitchen/utility zones, storage and operational requirements.
- Develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, customer experience, cost and constructability.
- Review architectural drawings, material specifications, details and mock-ups.
- Drive projects from concept stage through design development, tendering, construction and handover.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify design, technical and execution issues and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure quality standards and design intent are maintained throughout execution.
- Ensure timely preparation and review of GFC, working, detail and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, kitchen, signage, lighting and other specialist requirements.
- Review BOQs, specifications, material schedules and technical details.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, fire regulations, accessibility standards,
local authority requirements and statutory norms.
- Evaluate materials, finishes, construction methodologies and design alternatives from both aesthetic and commercial perspectives.
- Manage and coordinate with design consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors and specialist agencies.
- Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance and Business Development.
Qualification & Experience:
- 10–15 years of professional experience in architecture, with significant exposure to retail, F&B, hospitality, commercial or similar projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch./M.Arch. or equivalent).
- Strong experience in end-to-end delivery of retail/F&B projects.
- Should have handled multiple simultaneous fit-out projects.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of architectural planning, detailing, materials, finishes and construction methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of retail and F&B operational requirements.
- Strong site execution and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read, review and develop detailed architectural and technical drawings.
- Should be able to travel frequently.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, coordination and stakeholder management skills
