Role Overview
This role is responsible for end‑to‑end operational and underwriting coordination for Digital Partnerships channel. The incumbent will act as a central SPOC between external distribution partners and internal stakeholders (Operations, Underwriting, Tech, Finance) to ensure smooth policy issuance, adherence to underwriting guidelines, strong TAT performance, and effective resolution of operational escalations.
This is a hands‑on, outcome‑driven individual contributor role, with high ownership of issuance metrics, case movement, and partner experience.
Key Responsibilities
Partner & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for assigned digital partnerhips for all operational and underwriting‑related matters.
- Drive close coordination between Partner Ops teams and internal Ops / UW teams to ensure seamless hand‑offs and timely case progression.
- Own partner queries, escalations, and clarifications across documentation, underwriting decisions, policy issuance, and post‑issuance issues.
Underwriting & Issuance Management
- Coordinate with Underwriting teams on:
- Medical & non‑medical UW queries
- Document requirements and follow‑ups
- Acceptances, counter‑offers, rejections, and exceptions
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, product rules, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor issuance outcomes and proactively flag trends impacting acceptance or issuance%.
Operational Performance & TAT Management
- Track and actively manage:
- Case movement on a daily basis
- Internal sub‑process TATs
- Identify bottlenecks, pendency drivers, and drop‑off points across partner funnels.
- Work with Ops, UW, and Tech teams to remove friction and unblock stuck cases.
Escalation Management
- Own and resolve partner and internal escalations through structured root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional coordination.
- Ensure escalations are resolved within defined timelines, and preventive actions are implemented to avoid recurrence.
MIS, Insights & Governance
- Prepare and share periodic MIS / dashboards covering:
- Issuance %, same‑month issuance
- Pendency ageing
- Underwriting outcomes
- TAT performance
- Partner‑wise trends
- Use data to drive corrective actions and performance conversations with internal teams and partners.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and dependency risks across workflows.
- Lead or support continuous process improvement initiatives, including automation and system‑driven controls, in collaboration with Product. Ops, UW and Tech teams.
