Job Title: Lead – Electrical & Electronics (EV Dumper Truck Division)
Role Overview:
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and integration of Electrical & Electronics systems for EV dumper trucks, with ownership of vehicle electrical architecture, wiring harness, and system validation from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complete E&E system development including HV/LV architecture, power distribution, and vehicle-level integration
- Own wiring harness design & integration (schematics, routing, packaging, and vehicle installation) ensuring robustness in harsh operating conditions
- Define system requirements, SOR, and drive component selection in collaboration with suppliers
- Lead design & development of electrical components such as battery interfaces, BMS, controllers, sensors, lighting, and auxiliaries
- Drive vehicle-level electrical integration including CAN communication, diagnostics, and network architecture
- Plan and execute DVP & validation activities (functional, durability, EMI/EMC, environmental testing)
- Conduct DFMEA, design reviews, and risk assessments to ensure reliability and safety compliance
- Lead troubleshooting & root cause analysis using tools like CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic systems
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards (AIS, ISO, CISPR, EMC/EMI regulations)
- Drive cost optimization (VAVE), value engineering, and supplier localization initiatives
- Manage change management, defect tracking, and PLM release processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality) for seamless product development
- Mentor team members and drive project delivery aligned to cost, quality, and timelines
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in EV Electrical Systems (HV/LV), System Integration & Architecture
- Hands-on experience in wiring harness design, routing, and optimization
- Deep knowledge of CAN protocols, diagnostics, and vehicle networking
- Experience in component & vehicle-level testing and validation (DVP, EMC, environmental)
- Strong understanding of DFMEA, DFM/DFA/DFS principles
- Experience in supplier development, sourcing, and technical evaluation
- Proficiency in engineering and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, PLM tools, etc.)
- Strong leadership, program management, and problem-solving skills
Qualification:
- BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
- 15–25 years of experience in Automotive / EV domain
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in electric commercial vehicles / dumpers / off-highway vehicles
- Exposure to greenfield EV projects & full vehicle development cycles
- Strong background in EMI/EMC compliance and certification (ARAI or equivalent)
- Proven track record in innovation, cost reduction, and system-level delivery
