Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Contract Management Leader to drive end-to-end procurement contracts for Wind, Solar & Hybrid renewable energy projects. The role will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, finalizing, and administering complex EPC/IPP and project contracts while ensuring commercial optimization and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalize MSAs, WTGAs, BOS (Solar) / BOP (Wind) agreements, EPC/IPP contracts and O&M agreements.
- Structure and negotiate key clauses including LDs, warranties, defect liability period, limitation of liability, termination, and force majeure.
- Ensure alignment with project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation frameworks.
🔹 Commercial & Regulatory Advisory
- Provide inputs on commercial structuring, taxation (GST, customs duties), and regulatory compliance (CERC, State RE Policies).
- Ensure alignment with MNRE, CEA, IEC standards and evolving renewable regulations.
🔹 Risk Identification & Allocation
- Allocate and mitigate contractual risks relating to:
- Project delays, ROW & land acquisition challenges, force majeure
- Module performance & degradation (Solar)
- WTG availability, foundation & interface risks (Wind)
🔹 Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with project, legal, finance, procurement teams and external counsel.
- Lead dispute resolution and conflict management with strong commercial acumen.
🔹 Process Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement of contract templates and best practices.
- Incorporate learnings from past projects and disputes into future contract structures.
- Ensure timely contract closures without becoming a bottleneck to execution schedules — balancing speed with risk protection.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 12–15+ years of experience in contract management within renewable energy / infrastructure sector.
- Strong exposure to Wind, Solar, Hybrid EPC contracting.
- Deep understanding of renewable regulatory landscape (CERC/State Regulations).
- Strong negotiation, risk assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate at a strategic leadership level.
