JOB OVERVIEW

At Lavazza North America, the Junior Accountant plays a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly—supporting daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate and organized records, and contributing to monthly close and audit cycles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial records
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Assist with the posting and reconciliation of trade promotion accruals vs. actuals
• Support intercompany transaction entries and monthly reconciliation
• Provide assistance during internal and external audits by preparing schedules and gathering documentation
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and other departments to ensure accurate GL and cost center coding, including reclasses when needed
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of Finance-related purchase orders in SAP
• Participate in ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Prior experience in an accounting role, internship, or related function
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive mindset
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and independently
• Comfortable working under pressure and handling unexpected challenges with a positive attitude

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Occasionally travel (up to 10%) to our North American Headquarters in West Chester, PA.
