We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled professional for the position of Production – Laser Welding Machine Operator/Engineer in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry.
Industry Preference:
EV Batteries | Lithium-Ion Cell Manufacturing | Battery Pack Assembly | Energy Storage Systems
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and manage laser welding machines used in lithium-ion battery production
* Perform precision welding of battery tabs, busbars, nickel strips, aluminum and copper components
* Set and optimize welding parameters including laser power, pulse frequency, welding speed, and focal distance
* Troubleshoot welding defects and machine issues
* Ensure high-quality weld strength, conductivity, and production efficiency
* Coordinate with QA/QC and production teams for process improvement
✅ Mandatory Technical Knowledge:
* Fiber laser welding systems
* Pulse & continuous laser welding
* Battery tab and busbar welding
* Copper-to-aluminum welding processes
* PLC/HMI and automated welding systems
* Weld quality inspection and defect analysis
* Lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes
Candidate Requirements:
* Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Mechatronics, or related field
* 2–5+ years of relevant experience preferred
* Strong hands-on troubleshooting and machine setup capability
* Experience in EV battery or lithium-ion manufacturing will be highly preferred
