Description
The Sky High Lounge Lead supports daily operations across both indoor and outdoor lounge areas by providing direct, hands-on leadership to frontline staff including servers, hosts, dabtenders, and barbacks. Acting as a liaison between staff and management, this role ensures smooth shift transitions, consistent service quality, and a welcoming guest experience while upholding NUWU standards and safety protocols.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise lounge floor during shifts, assisting staff in real time and maintaining service flow

Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate updates, promotions, or operational changes

Monitor staff rotations and ensure proper coverage across all lounge service areas

Address guest needs, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and care

Train and mentor new team members on customer service, lounge operations, and compliance

Support inventory readiness by tracking supplies and communicating needs to management

Oversee cleanliness and sanitation standards; ensure lounge is guest-ready at all times

Assist in planning and execution of special events and ensure adequate staffing support

Enforce consumption lounge rules and promote safe and responsible cannabis use
Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in hospitality, cannabis service, or lounge environments

Prior leadership experience preferred (e.g., shift lead, team lead)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with cannabis products and regulations (preferred)

Ability to multitask in high-volume and high-energy settings

Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in a licensed cannabis establishment
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments where cannabis is consumed

Subject to exposure to loud music, changing temperatures, and customer interactions
Schedule & Availability:
Employees must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs. This may include working beyond regular scheduled hours, such as overtime or on recognized holidays. While the Company will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice, employees are expected to maintain flexibility to support business demands. All overtime will be compensated in accordance with applicable labor laws and company policy.
Work Environment:
This position operates within the Sky High Lounge and adjacent consumption areas. The environment includes indoor and outdoor spaces with customer traffic, cannabis use, and event activity. Work is performed on-site and does not require travel.
