The Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides operational leadership across a multi-site healthcare organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and financially sustainable patient care services. The COO oversees day-to-day operations including clinical support services, quality and compliance, risk management, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving patient outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance (including AAAHC/CMS standards), and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities - Operational Leadership
- Direct and oversee daily operations across all clinic sites and service lines
- Ensure efficient workflows, staffing models, and resource utilization
- Partner with executive leadership to execute organizational strategy and growth initiatives
- Lead operational readiness for expansion, new service lines, or facility development
Key Responsibilities - Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with AAAHC, CMS, OSHA, HRSA and state regulations
- Oversee accreditation readiness, survey preparation, and corrective action plans
- Implement and sustain quality improvement programs and performance metrics
- Lead risk management, patient safety, and incident review processes
Key Responsibilities - Financial & Performance Management
- Collaborate with finance to manage operational budgets and cost controls
- Analyze KPIs including patient volumes, throughput, and workforce metrics
- Drive improvements in operational efficiency and revenue cycle performance
- Implaments Value-Based Models and Insurance Incentive Plans

- Provide leadership and development to directors, managers, and department leaders

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration (MBA), Public Health, or related field
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations
- Experience managing multi-site healthcare clinics or systems (FQHC preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation (AAAHC, Joint Commission, or CMS)

- Prior experience as a COO, VP of Operations, or senior healthcare executive
