Job Summary
The Site Engineer will be responsible for complete on-site execution of retail store projects, ensuring adherence to design, quality standards, timelines, safety norms, and budgets. The role involves close coordination with General Contractors (GC), MEP teams, vendors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Execution & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day site activities for new store fit-outs and renovations.
- Coordinate with General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for civil, MEP, fixtures, and finishing works.
- Ensure work execution is as per approved drawings, specifications, and brand standards.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with construction and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and rectify deviations proactively.
- Ensure compliance with local authorities, fire norms, and mall guidelines (where applicable).
Planning & Scheduling
- Support project planning, work sequencing, and execution as per project timelines.
- Track daily progress and update the project team with status reports.
- Assist in resolving site-level issues to avoid delays.
Vendor & Material Management
- Coordinate material delivery, storage, and usage at site.
- Verify material quality and quantities as per BOQs.
- Support measurement and certification of contractor bills.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records including daily progress reports, snag lists, and completion reports.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.
Handover & Close-Out
- Ensure proper snag rectification before store handover.
- Support smooth store opening by coordinating final checks and approvals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in retail, commercial fit-out, or interior projects.
- Strong understanding of civil, MEP, and interior execution.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and work under tight timelines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
