Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance duties throughout the hospital facility. This position ensures the safe and efficient operation of building systems, equipment, and hospital infrastructure while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Florida Driver’s License preferred.
- EPA Certification or trade-related certifications preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including mechanical rooms and outdoor areas.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
