Language & Parsing Engineer (AST / Compiler Tooling)

About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Language & Parsing Engineer to build advanced code analysis systems that understand the structure and behavior of large-scale enterprise software. This role focuses on developing parsers, Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) processing, symbol resolution, and static analysis capabilities that enable intelligent code understanding across multiple programming languages.
The ideal candidate has a strong computer science foundation in compiler concepts, language tooling, and static analysis, along with hands-on experience working with enterprise-grade programming languages and large codebases.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop parsers and AST-based analysis tools for enterprise programming languages.
• Build systems for symbol resolution, type analysis, scope analysis, and dependency mapping.
• Develop static analysis tools that understand relationships between classes, methods, imports, and modules.
• Create scalable solutions for analyzing large codebases across multiple programming languages.
• Work with build systems and dependency management tools to improve code understanding.
• Design APIs and services that expose language intelligence capabilities.
• Optimize parsing performance and analysis accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve code analysis and developer productivity.
Required Skills
• Strong computer science fundamentals in:
o Abstract Syntax Trees (AST)
o Parsing techniques
o Symbol resolution
o Type and scope analysis
o Static code analysis
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise programming language such as:
o Java
o C# (.NET)
o Similar enterprise language ecosystems
• Experience with build systems such as Maven, Gradle, MSBuild, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and compiler concepts.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with compiler front-ends and parsing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Language Server Protocol (LSP) or language server development.
• Experience building static analysis tools or code intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with compiler internals and source code transformation.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise codebases.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and developer tooling.
