The primary purpose is to maintain the grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful, viable, maintenance program is maintained at all time.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
- Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, florescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform housekeeping duties in very high places.
- Smooth's surfaces, using sandpaper, wire brushes or steel wool and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scrapes, wire
- brushes or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
- Fills nail holes, cracks and joints with putty plaster or other filler.
- Paints surfaces, using brushes, spray gun or paint roller. Simulates wood grain, marble, brick or tile effects. Creates special effects by applying paint.
- Assure that the facility is properly maintained for patient comfort and convenience.
- Keep your work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., paint spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are followed at all times.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· On the job training provided
