Role Description This full-time, on-site Landscape Designer role is based at Meraki Design Studio in Vadodara. The Landscape Designer will develop landscape concepts and detailed drawings, including hardscape layouts and planting plans for residential, commercial, and urban projects. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with architects and interior designers, preparing design presentations and technical drawings, coordinating with consultants and vendors, and visiting sites to understand conditions and monitor execution. The role also involves integrating sustainable design principles, selecting appropriate materials and plant species, and ensuring that designs align with project budgets, timelines, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Landscape Design and Landscape Architecture for concept development and detailed planning.
- Ability to design and document Hardscape elements, including pathways, seating areas, and outdoor structures.
- Experience creating Planting Plans and overall Landscaping schemes that respond to climate, context, and maintenance needs.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices, green building techniques, and context-sensitive use of materials.
- Relevant degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related design field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong visual communication, detailing, and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and constructability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
