Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and field-oriented Land Manager to lead land identification, acquisition, and stakeholder engagement activities in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. The role will involve working closely with landowners, local authorities, and internal project teams to secure suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory and due diligence requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suitable land parcels for solar, wind, or hybrid renewable energy projects across the Malwa region.
- Lead land aggregation activities including negotiations with landowners, local brokers, and community stakeholders.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence including title verification, land classification, and encumbrance checks.
- Coordinate with legal teams for preparation and execution of lease agreements, sale deeds, or land-related documentation.
- Maintain relationships with local government authorities such as tehsildars, patwaris, and district administration.
- Facilitate land conversion processes and support regulatory approvals where required.
- Conduct site visits and maintain accurate records of land parcels, ownership structures, and negotiation status.
- Support project teams in ensuring land readiness for project development and financial closure.
- Monitor local developments, policy changes, and land market dynamics relevant to renewable energy development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in land acquisition, land aggregation, or project development.
- Strong familiarity with land records, revenue processes, and local administrative systems in Madhya Pradesh.
- Experience working with local communities, landowners, and intermediaries.
- Ability to travel extensively across the Malwa region.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate land acquisition.
- Understanding of land conversion, registry processes, and due diligence procedures.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of local dialects and regional socio-economic landscape.
