Role Description The Land Acquisition Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for identifying suitable land parcels for EV charging stations, conducting preliminary assessments, and coordinating site surveys in alignment with project requirements. The specialist will manage negotiations with landowners and stakeholders, oversee the due diligence process, and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. Daily tasks include maintaining detailed records of potential and acquired sites, collaborating with legal, engineering, and operations teams, and supporting the transition from land acquisition to land development activities. The role also involves monitoring timelines, mitigating risks related to land transactions, and contributing to strategic planning for network expansion in the region.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Land Acquisition and Land Development skills, with experience identifying, evaluating, and securing sites for infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess solid Contract Negotiation skills, including the ability to structure agreements, manage terms, and collaborate with legal and commercial stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess rigorous Due Diligence skills, with the ability to review titles, permissions, zoning, and regulatory requirements to minimize risk.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with landowners, local authorities, and internal teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience in infrastructure, real estate, energy, or EV-related projects, and familiarity with local land laws and approval processes, is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, along with proficiency in standard office software and mapping or GIS tools, are preferred.
- Ability to travel within the Pune Division as required and to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
