Role Description The Land Acquisition Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing land parcels that align with the company’s residential development objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research on potential locations, assessing land use feasibility, performing financial and risk analyses, and negotiating with landowners, brokers, and other stakeholders for acquisitions. The role involves coordinating with legal, finance, and project teams to ensure clear titles, regulatory compliance, and timely closure of acquisition deals. The Land Acquisition Manager will maintain detailed records of opportunities, build and manage a strong network of local contacts, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management to support strategic growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Land Use Planning and Market Research skills to assess site potential and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Acquisitions expertise to evaluate opportunities, negotiate terms, and manage transaction processes.
- Candidates should possess sound Finance knowledge to analyze project viability, budgets, and return on investment for land purchases.
- Relevant experience in real estate, construction, or property development, preferably in residential projects and local Chennai market exposure.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Business, Finance, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic mapping or GIS tools, along with familiarity with local land regulations and approval processes.
- Ability to work independently on-site, travel within the region as needed, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
