About the role

Stipend Amount: Starts at $1809/year; follows coaching salary schedule


Supervisor: HS Head Coach and Athletic Director
Estimated time commitment: 10-20 hours per week during the season (The official season is August 10 to October 24.)
Detailed description of duties/responsibilities:
? Teach fundamental soccer skills, theory and strategy
? Communicate positively and clearly with parents and athletes
? Supervise athletes at games and on the bus traveling to and from those events
? Contribute to a positive team environment
? Promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, academic excellence and positive school behavior
? Available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel with the team for games
? Cooperate/communicate with head coach, other volunteer coaches, and athletic director
? Possess and maintain a moral character that is in congruence with the expectations of the Board of Education
? Possess the ability to address situations dealing with first aid


Special qualifications, if any:
? Experience coaching, preferred but not required
? Experience working with high school students preferred
? Knowledge of the game of soccer

  7. Ability to react well under pressure, handle and balance multiple demands at one time, work with frequent interruptions, and perform duties and tasks at expected levels of professionalism.
  8. Knowledge of and ability to perform duties in full compliance with all district, Board of Education, state and federal laws, methods, requirements, policies, procedures, and activities pertinent to the duties of this position. 
  9. Ability to use independent judgment and demonstrates initiative to act without being asked.
