Lake Chelan High School has an opening beginning with the 2026-2027 school year for a Winter Cheer Advisor for the basketball season. We are seeking a passionate advisor committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values: Motivated, Open Minded, Respecful and Engaged. Salary is $3356.
Qualifications to Include
Ø Ability to provide guidance, leadership training and supervision at all times for the cheerleaders
Ø Able to coordinate activities for which cheerleaders are responsible with the Athletic Director
Ø Time to attend home games, accompany cheerleaders on out-of-town trips, supervise, and attend all practices
Ø Ability to coordinate the cheerleader activity calendar
Ø Provide information to cheerleaders of training rules and school district policy
Ø Must hold, or willing to obtain WIAA stunt certification required by the WIAA
Ø Valid first aid and CPR cards, WSP, FBI and Sexual Misconduct clearance
Overview of Coaching Staff Expectations
Ø Responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes.
Ø Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
Ø Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department.
