Job Summary
Lake Central High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a full-time high school teacher. Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education or related field
- Licensure: Valid Indiana Secondary Teaching License with Math Endorsement
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, projects, and presentations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
- Foster a safe and respectful learning environment by promoting positive behavior and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices in teaching.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events to support the school community.
- Support students' social and emotional development by being a mentor and advocate.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
