About Nestology
Nestology is building a 360-degree early childhood development platform for children 0–3 years. We combine developmental science, Montessori principles, coaching, and real-world implementation support for modern families. Our support spans pregnancy to toddlerhood — across feeding, sleep, motor development, language, and emotional health.
Lactation support is a critical pillar in our first-year ecosystem.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lactation Consultant to lead breastfeeding and early feeding education, coaching, and protocol development within Nestology’s learning and support programs.
This role is not limited to “breastfeeding troubleshooting.” It includes parent education, structured modules, escalation frameworks, and training our child development assistants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Parent Education & Curriculum
- Review and finalize structured breastfeeding modules (newborn to 12 months)
- Contribute to scripts, guides, and downloadable resources
- Ensure all content is evidence-based and culturally sensitive
- Develop feeding transition guidance (exclusive breastfeeding → mixed feeding → solids)
2. Live Parent Sessions
- Conduct live workshops (prenatal & postnatal)
- Host Q&A sessions for common concerns:
- Latch issues
- Low milk supply
- Engorgement / mastitis
- Cluster feeding
- Bottle introduction
- Pumping & returning to work
3. 1:1 Consultations
- Offer structured tele-consults (and home visits if applicable)
- Provide written care plans where required
- Create clear referral pathways (pediatrician, IBCLC escalation, tongue-tie specialist, etc.)
4. Protocol Building
- Create Nestology feeding assessment checklist (0–6 months)
- Develop red-flag screening guidelines
- Build triage system for support team escalation
5. Training & Quality Control
- Train child development assistants (2-week internal training program)
- Create SOPs for common feeding cases
- Review complex cases for quality assurance
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC preferred)
- 5+ years hands-on clinical experience
- Experience with newborn feeding challenges
- Strong understanding of early infant physiology
Preferred:
- Experience working with pediatricians
- Exposure to developmental science / responsive caregiving
- Experience conducting workshops or online education
- Comfort with digital tools & structured content creation
Skills We Value
- Calm, non-judgmental communication
- Evidence-based but practical approach
- Ability to simplify science for parents
- Systems thinker (can build scalable frameworks)
- Alignment with respectful, child-led philosophy
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a clinic-only role.
You will help shape a scalable, structured feeding ecosystem for thousands of families — combining:
- Preventive education
- Coaching
- Protocol design
- Technology integration
- Team training
Success Metrics
- Parent satisfaction scores
- Reduction in unnecessary escalation cases
- Structured module completion rates
- Quality of assistant training outcomes
- Clinical safety & adherence to evidence
