About the role
Summary/Objective: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business/Finance Intern to support our Finance and Accounting team. This internship will center around a financial modeling project, giving the intern hands-on experience developing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support organizational decision-making. In addition, the intern will gain broad exposure to core business functions, financial processes, and project-based analytical work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions: Specific duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
Financial Modeling Project (Primary Focus):
•Assist in the creation, refinement, and maintenance of financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, or business planning.
•Compile and evaluate financial and operational data to identify trends, key drivers, and performance indicators.
•Prepare model documentation, presentations, and summaries for leadership review.
•Ensure model accuracy and consistency by validating assumptions, formulas, and data inputs.
Additional Business & Finance Support:
•Participate in project-based financial analysis, including performance reporting and scenario modeling.
•Assist with the preparation and review of budget reports, variance analysis, and forecasting updates.
•Support account reconciliations and other basic accounting functions as needed.
•Assist in preparing financial schedules, summaries, and materials used in internal reporting.
•Conduct research on industry benchmarks, economic trends, or market factors relevant to ongoing financial projects.

Required Education and Experience:
•Current student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
•Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and basic modeling tools.
•Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
•Effective written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position with 40 hours per week expected. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00a to 4:30p. This position will last until Friday, January 16.
