About Quantum SMT Technologies:
Quantum SMT Technologies Pvt Ltd is a Gurugram-based company specializing in the design and manufacture of Functional Circuit Testing (FCT) machines for the automotive electronics industry. We build custom test solutions for components like LED tail lamps and other electronic assemblies used in vehicles.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced LabVIEW developer who can build and maintain automated test systems for our FCT machines. This role is at the heart of what we deliver to our automotive clients — the person will write the software that controls instruments, runs test sequences, communicates with hardware, and generates pass/fail results. You'll work with real equipment every day: digital multimeters, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, signal generators, and custom test fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and deploy LabVIEW-based test automation applications for Functional Circuit Testing (FCT) machines.
• Establish communication with lab instruments and equipment (DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators) using GPIB, RS232, USB, and Ethernet interfaces.
• Write and maintain instrument drivers and communication protocols using NI-VISA and SCPI commands.
• Design test sequences that validate automotive electronic assemblies (e.g., LED tail lamp modules, control units) against customer specifications.
• Build user-friendly front panels (HMIs) for machine operators on the shop floor.
• Integrate Data Acquisition (DAQ) hardware with LabVIEW for real-time measurement and control.
• Generate test reports, log data, and interface with databases (SQL / MS Access) for traceability.
• Debug and troubleshoot existing test programs and hardware communication issues at client sites when needed.
• Collaborate with the mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of software with test fixtures.
Required Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of hands-on LabVIEW programming experience (CLD certification is a plus).
• Proven experience communicating with instruments via GPIB, RS232, RS485, USB, or TCP/IP.
• Strong knowledge of SCPI commands and NI-VISA for instrument control.
• Experience with NI DAQ hardware (cDAQ, PXI, or similar).
• Understanding of electrical measurements — voltage, current, resistance, frequency — and how to set up measurement circuits.
• Familiarity with state machine architecture, producer-consumer patterns, and queued message handlers in LabVIEW.
• B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
Nice to Have:
• Experience specifically with automotive testing or FCT systems.
• Knowledge of TestStand for test sequence management.
• Familiarity with machine vision integration (NI Vision / IMAQ).
• Experience with PLC communication (Modbus, OPC).
• Exposure to LabVIEW FPGA or Real-Time modules.
• Understanding of automotive standards (AEC-Q, relevant ISO standards).
Location: Gurugram, Haryana (on-site; occasional client site visits may be required).
Employment Type: Full-time
