Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Technician role based in Chennai. The Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, prepare and process samples, and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following quality control procedures, documenting results accurately, and assisting with troubleshooting basic technical issues. The role involves collaborating with other laboratory staff, supporting compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and contributing to timely and reliable diagnostic services for patients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample handling, test execution, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Candidates should be proficient in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments safely and effectively.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid analytical skills for interpreting test results, identifying anomalies, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Candidates should have knowledge of quality control practices and basic principles relevant to laboratory technicians.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Understanding of infection control, biosafety, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions and protocols precisely.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory is an advantage.
