About the Role
First ESCO India is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support ongoing research and development activities in our chemical process laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity for recent postgraduates who are passionate about applied chemistry and wish to gain hands-on experience in an industrial R&D environment.
You will work closely with our research team in conducting laboratory-scale experiments, preparing samples and reagents, maintaining laboratory records, and supporting the execution of various process development studies.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting laboratory experiments according to established procedures and research plans.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples required for experimental work.
- Operate and monitor laboratory equipment used in chemical processing and testing activities.
- Record observations, experimental data, and results accurately and systematically.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, logs, and documentation in an organized manner.
- Support sample preparation, material handling, filtration, separation, and other laboratory operations.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper storage of chemicals and materials.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and promote safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Assist researchers in day-to-day experimental activities and data collection.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Chemistry (Preference for candidates with a specialization in Inorganic Chemistry).
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory record-keeping and documentation.
- Good observational, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow procedures carefully and work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on exposure to laboratory experiments during academic projects or research work.
- Knowledge of wet chemistry techniques and general laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently while supporting collaborative research activities.
