LabCorp is seeking a Sample Handling Workflow Lead to join our team at the Bangalore Site in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Work Schedule
40hrs a week (Monday to Friday) in a rotational shift.
Job Responsibilities
Performs main functions of the department as needed, which includes but not limited to Specific department duties as set forth in the task list and department Training Checklists, including but not limited to:
Accessioning 1: First entry of patient demographics and administrative questions displayed on requisitions completed in a timely manner.
Accessioning 2: Second entry of patient demographics and administrative questions on requisitions completed in a timely work frame.
Responsible on treating and completing various batches according to their urgency and defined turnaround time.
Perform Accessioning or Data entry process under supervision of trainer with the expectations to perform Accessioning process independently after completion of training.
Check and clean the CPP report.
Check and clean the AD Pending
Creation of Batches using ImageNow and exporting them in Excel.
Distribution of batches to the team
Verification of incoming volumes comparing to the created batches
Email follow-up
Same duties as for Standard Level Assistant I, Proficient Level Assistant II and Advanced Level Assistant III.
Responsible of the daily optimal workflow organization and guaranty the workload completion in all areas. Identify and resolve the issues related to the workflow.
Proactive communication with other workflow leaders, to solve any workflow issues as well as the prioritization of critical tasks.
Organize and/or re-organize the team members to adapt to the daily volume changes and the client expectations.
Evaluate the performance of team members in collaboration with Management.
Act as a trainer/mentor for any new hire or inbound transfers.
Help Standard and Proficient levels in researching and resolving issues.
Provide guidance and best practices for the department.
Handle emails of the department. Reply to emails independently.
Follow up on inactive projects on CPP report.
Follow up with other departments for any pending items - Maintain and update multi pending lists in Zavacor.
Lead the team to meet departmental goals.
Perform administrative duties under supervision.
Analyze and evaluate new process improvement proposals.
Lead the implementation of process changes within the department.
Mentor potential employee for succession planning.
Demonstrate flexibility by doing other duties assigned, such as assisting in writing SOPs or acting as a subject matter expert for the department.
Assumes leadership role in the supervisor’s absence including but not limited to
Organizing assignments during the workday.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's in life science
Responsibilities:
Ensure received batches are timely processed.
Generate an appropriate audit trail of all activities.
Perform On-call and after-hours duties as needed.
Ensure concerned SOPs are timely read.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform all departmental and interdepartmental SOPs as written.
Adhere to Home Office Policy stated by the company.
Perform all required training.
Maintain the training file correct and up to date.
Ensure proper documentation is made for future reference.
Work well within team environment.
Generate new ideas for departmental process improvement.
