We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to support quality control and assurance processes in our spice manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on spices and raw materials
- Perform moisture analysis, ash content, volatile oil, and adulteration checks
- Ensure all products meet regulatory and company quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of lab results and prepare reports
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Follow hygiene, safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols
- Assist in audits and documentation for certifications (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, etc.)
- Monitor storage conditions and shelf-life testing
- Report any deviations or quality issues to the Quality Manager
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in food/spice industry lab testing (preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety standards and lab procedures
- Familiarity with testing equipment and laboratory techniques

- Strong attention to detail
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
Working Conditions
- Based in manufacturing/processing plant
- May require shift work
- Exposure to spice dust and strong aromas
