Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lab Technician to assist in daily laboratory operations, sample processing, and basic diagnostic testing. The candidate will work under the supervision of senior staff and contribute to maintaining high standards of accuracy and hygiene in the lab.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Collection and Handling
• Assist in collection of blood and other samples (if required)
• Label and process samples accurately
• Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples
Laboratory Testing Support
• Perform basic diagnostic tests under supervision
• Prepare slides, reagents, and samples for testing
• Assist senior technicians in routine and specialized tests
Equipment and Maintenance
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
• Ensure proper usage of instruments and report any issues
• Follow calibration and maintenance schedules as instructed
Hygiene and Safety
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab
• Follow safety protocols and biomedical waste disposal guidelines
• Use personal protective equipment as required
Documentation and Coordination
• Maintain records of tests and samples
• Assist in data entry and report preparation
• Coordinate with lab staff and front office for smooth workflow
Education and Qualifications
• DMLT, BMLT, or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
• Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience can apply
