Role Description The Lab Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include supervising laboratory staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring that all tests are processed accurately and on time. The role involves monitoring and maintaining laboratory equipment, managing inventory and reagents, and coordinating with clinicians to prioritize urgent investigations. The Lab Manager will implement and enforce quality control procedures, ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accreditation standards, and maintain accurate documentation and records. The position also includes training team members on standard operating procedures, supporting evaluation of new tests or methods, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience with routine clinical laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and familiarity with maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret test results, review data trends, and support clinical decision-making.
- Experience with quality control processes and a solid understanding of laboratory quality management systems.
- Exposure to research and development (R&D) activities, such as evaluating new assays or optimizing existing protocols, is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field; relevant certifications or registrations as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with prior supervisory or team lead responsibilities preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control, biosafety, and regulatory standards applicable to diagnostic laboratories.
- Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Noida, manage shifting priorities, and maintain accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.
