About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lab Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in hardware installation, software deployment, system integration, IT operations, asset management, and technical support. The role involves deploying, configuring, testing, maintaining, and supporting gaming/table technology solutions within the India Lab environment, while ensuring seamless integration with IT infrastructure and operational standards.
The Lab Engineer will play a critical role in managing lab infrastructure, IT assets, inventory, system staging, deployments, troubleshooting, and operational readiness. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Lab Operations & Infrastructure Management
Manage and maintain lab infrastructure, gaming/table systems, and peripherals.
Ensure lab environments are operational and organized for development, testing, and deployment.
Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and system validation.
Support lab expansion and infrastructure improvements.
Hardware Installation & Deployment
Install, configure, and validate gaming/table hardware, embedded devices, and peripherals.
Replace table inserts, hardware modules, and cabling as per standards.
Perform staging, imaging, deployment, and configuration.
Verify power, network connectivity, and system readiness.
System Integration & Testing
Execute integration, validation, and functional testing.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Validate interoperability between systems and backend services.
Support UAT, regression testing, and release readiness.
IT Operations & Technical Support
Provide L1/L2 support for lab systems and devices.
Install, patch, and upgrade OS, applications, and firmware.
Monitor performance and resolve issues proactively.
Support incident management and root cause analysis.
Asset Management & Inventory Control
Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
Track lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
Conduct audits and manage spare inventory.
Ensure compliance with asset policies.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain SOPs, installation guides, and configuration documents.
Document deployments, incidents, and resolutions.
Ensure adherence to company standards and policies.
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations teams.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and maintenance.
Provide updates, risk insights, and deployment reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical Skills
Hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
IT asset lifecycle and inventory management.
System staging, deployment, and imaging.
Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
System integration and testing.

Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
3–4 years of experience in IT operations, lab support, hardware deployment, or similar roles.
Hands-on experience with network-connected devices and system integration.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to support deployments and occasional after-hours work.
