Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced
L3 Sybase DBA (7–10 years) to support critical production databases, lead complex troubleshooting, and manage Sybase migrations, replication, performance tuning, and patching. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Sybase ASE/Replication Server, Unix/Linux environments, and scripting, with the ability to operate in 24x5 BAU environments and resolve high ‑ severity issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- ProvideL3-level supportfor Sybase ASE and Replication Server in production environments.
- PerformSybase migrations, patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors.
- Performperformance tuning, query optimization, and database health checks.
- Support24x5 BAU operations, including incident management and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams during issue resolution.
- Create and maintain database scripts and automation for operational efficiency.
- Ensure database reliability, availability, and adherence to security standards.
Required Skills And Qualification
- 8+ years of hands ‑ on experience as aSybase DBA.
- Strongexpertisein:
- Sybase ASEadministration
- Replication Serverconfiguration and troubleshooting
- Sybase migration, patching, and upgrades
- Deep knowledge ofSybase internalsand performance tuning.
- Strongscripting skills(Shell scripting preferred).
- ProficiencyinUnix/Linux environments.
- Proven experience in L3 production support and incident resolution.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good To Have Skills
- Experience automating DBA tasks using Python/Bash.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and performance dashboards.
- Understandinghigh-availability architectures and DR setups.
- Exposure to financial or mission ‑ critical systems environments.
