Role Description The L3 Senior Network Security Engineer-UAE role at B-Core Technologies is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. The engineer will handle advanced troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis for complex network and security issues, as well as perform regular security assessments, audits, and configuration reviews. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing security policies, monitoring network performance and threats, coordinating with cross-functional teams, documenting solutions, and mentoring junior engineers. The role also requires staying current with emerging threats, technologies, and compliance standards to strengthen overall network security posture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise network devices.
- Candidates should possess advanced Network Security and Cybersecurity skills, including firewall management, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention, and threat mitigation.
- Candidates should possess solid Information Security knowledge, including security frameworks, policies, risk assessment, and compliance best practices.
- Relevant experience with routing and switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs), network segmentation, and high-availability architectures.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling L3 escalations and complex incident resolution.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
