Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network and Security Lead Engineer to
join our dedicated IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert
(SME) with extensive hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex
network and security solutions. This role is responsible for high-level project execution,
advanced troubleshooting, solution architecture, and team leadership. You will be the final point
of escalation for critical incidents and a key player in maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
● Project Deployment & Solutioning: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of
enterprise-level network and security infrastructure projects. Architect robust and scalable
solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
● Advanced Troubleshooting: Serve as the final escalation point for complex network and
security issues. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve high-impact incidents efficiently to
minimize downtime.
● Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship
to L1/L2 engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
● Customer Relationship Management: Act as a trusted technical advisor to key
customers. Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and
confidence in our services.
● Incident & Escalation Management: Take ownership of critically escalated customer
issues and incident tickets, managing them from inception to resolution while providing
clear and timely communication to all stakeholders.
● Documentation & Compliance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for
network designs, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensure all
solutions adhere to industry best practices and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
● Education: Must possess a full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunications, or a
related field.
● Overall Experience:
○ A minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands-on technical IT experience in enterprise network
and security engineering.
○ A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a team handling or management role,
with responsibility for guiding and mentoring other engineers.
● Subject Matter Expertise: Proven expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with a
wide range of products from the following vendors:
○ Cisco: Routers (ISR/ASR), Switches (Catalyst/Nexus), Firewalls (ASA/Firepower), ISE
○ Fortinet: FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer
○ Palo Alto Networks: PA-Series Firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect
○ Sophos: XG/XGS Series Firewalls, Sophos Central
○ HPE: Aruba Switches and Wireless solutions
○ Netgear: Smart Managed Pro Switches and SMB networking products
● Technical Proficiencies:
○ Deep understanding of advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
○ Expertise in VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, DMVPN).
○ Strong knowledge of network security principles, including IDS/IPS, content filtering,
and threat protection.
● Professional Skills:
○ Demonstrated ability in a project leadership role.
○ Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
○ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
● Certifications (Highly Desirable):
○ Cisco: CCNP (Enterprise/Security) or CCIE
○ Fortinet: NSE 4/5 or higher
○ Palo Alto: PCNSE
○ Sophos Certified Architect
Work Environment
● This is a full-time position requiring the candidate to work from the office.
● The role requires the ability to visit customer premises for project deployments, kick-off
meetings, and technical consultations.
● Must be flexible to work after standard office hours and on weekends as required to
support project deployments, maintenance windows, and critical incidents.
