Are you ready to take your cloud engineering expertise to the next level? Join our dynamic Delivery Team as a Senior Cloud Engineer Level 3/4, where you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and managing cutting-edge Azure & AWS cloud platforms.
The Senior Cloud Engineer role brings you an opportunity to learn and leverage your experience for everything cloud. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Delivery and provide Design and Engineering Services for a range of clients across several industries.
Location: Chandigarh/Mohali
Main Responsibilities
· Conduct solution design review meetings with application teams and other stakeholders
· Transform requirements for new capabilities or changes from architecture, operations, or customers into Public Cloud architecture designs
· Ensure operational supportability of designs by collaborating with operational support teams
· Configure and migrate workloads to public cloud services
· Capture lessons learned through development iterations and incorporated improvements
· Engineer and implement automation services in the Public Cloud
· Select appropriate Azure/AWS services based on requirements
· Create detailed infrastructure designs for applications on Azure/AWS platforms
· Document detailed requirements in consultation with application managers/architects
· Contribute to scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solution designs
· Design and implement security and governance strategies
· Develop High Availability and Business Continuity plans based on defined RPO and RTO
· Coordinate with IT systems/application support, networks, and other relevant teams
· Conduct Azure/AWS cost optimization initiatives
· Experience with microservices architecture and Docker containers
· Proficient in configuration management platforms
· Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
· Assist with marketing requests (e.g., blogs, LinkedIn posts)
Basic Qualifications
· Azure & AWS Cloud Architect Certification (highly desired)
· Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong customer focus
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
· Self-starter with enthusiasm for learning new technologies
Skills and Capabilities
- 8+ years' experience in an IT service industry
- Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems on Azure
· Ability to define and implement solutions on Azure/AWS
· Expertise in Azure\AWS operations and deployment guidance throughout project lifecycles
· Experience migrating workloads using Azure Migrate/AWS MGN service
· Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on Azure/AWS across regions
· Experience with a broad range of Azure technologies (e.g., VMs, DB PaaS, Power BI, Blob Storage, etc.)
· Experience with a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, EMR, S3, Glacier, etc.)
· Experience with DevOps orchestration/configuration/CI management technologies (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Ansible)
· Experience with monitoring, logging, and cost management tools for Azure/AWS
· Experience automating tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps, SDK, ARM templates, command-line tools
· Experience in backup and restore management for PaaS DB, Cosmos DB, and other NoSQL databases
· Experience in infrastructure and application monitoring across production and non-production platforms
· Experience with containers and HA clusters, including Docker and Kubernetes
· Experience with Microsoft Windows Servers or Linux System administration
· Experience in Microsoft Identity and Access management using Entra ID, Active Directory & DNS Services.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Working as part of the delivery team and responsible for:
- Working with the Project Managers, Architects, Sales and Customers to design scalable Azure cloud platforms
- Perform deployment cutovers of cloud platforms and oversea migration of workloads (after hours)
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Knowledge sharing within the team
- Willingness and ability to assist with marketing requests on an ad hoc basis (e.g. blogs and LinkedIn posts) Supporting the managed services team for P1 escalations and responsible for: incident diagnosis & resolution, service request fulfillment, root cause analysis and change execution providing inputs for the creation of SOPs and process improvements . Providing after- hours IT support for P1 escalations where Level 2 and 3 are unable to resolve to meet agreed SLAs.
